Pomodoc

Security & certifications

A video consultation involves medical information, so it is fair to ask how that information is protected. The short answer: Pomodoc runs on the platform of Air Doctor (Air Doctor LTD), the company that operates the service, and that platform is independently certified to two international information-security standards — including one written specifically for health data. Both certificates are current and can be verified directly with the certifying body below.

Certifications

ISO/IEC 27001:2022 — Information security management. Held by Air Doctor LTD, certified by the Standards Institution of Israel, certificate no. 1126034. Verify this certificate with the Standards Institution of Israel.

ISO 27799:2016 — Health-sector information security (health informatics). Held by Air Doctor LTD, certified by the Standards Institution of Israel, certificate no. 106277. Verify this certificate with the Standards Institution of Israel.

ISO/IEC 27001 is the international standard for how an organisation manages information security as a whole. ISO 27799 applies the same discipline specifically to health information — the standard written for organisations that handle medical data. Holding both means the security controls are not generic: they are audited against health-sector requirements.

Certificate validity last checked with the Standards Institution of Israel on August 23, 2026. The verification links above are the certifier's live pages and always show current status.

What this means in practice

Your consultation happens in the browser over an encrypted connection. The doctor you see is licensed in the country you are in and bound by medical confidentiality, the same as in a clinic. Details of what is collected and how it is handled are in the privacy policy.

Security questions, answered

Is my medical information safe with Pomodoc?

Pomodoc runs on the platform of Air Doctor LTD, which is independently certified to ISO/IEC 27001:2022 (information security management) and ISO 27799:2016 (health-sector information security) by the Standards Institution of Israel. Both certificates are current, and you can verify each one directly on the certifier's website using the links on this page.

Who can see my consultation?

Your consultation is between you and the doctor. The doctor is licensed in the country you are in and bound by medical confidentiality, the same professional duty that applies in a clinic. Consultations happen in the browser over an encrypted connection.

What is ISO 27799, and why does it matter for telemedicine?

ISO 27799 is the international standard for information security specifically in healthcare — it applies the discipline of ISO/IEC 27001 to health data in particular. Holding it means the security controls are audited against health-sector requirements, not just generic company ones. Many telemedicine services hold neither certification.

Do I need to install anything to have a secure consultation?

No. The consultation happens in your browser over an encrypted connection — there is no app to download and no setup. You open the link, and you are in the consultation.

What information does Pomodoc collect, and how is it handled?

The details of what is collected, why, and how long it is kept are set out in the privacy policy on this site. The short version: information is collected to deliver the consultation and handled on Air Doctor's certified platform.

How can I check the certifications myself?

Each certificate on this page links to the Standards Institution of Israel's own live validity page, showing the certificate number, the holder (Air Doctor LTD), and its current status. You do not have to take our word for it — that is the point.
